KTM India has officially increased the prices of its highly popular KTM 390 Adventure and KTM 390 Adventure X, with the hike going up to ₹27,000. This revision comes shortly after the rollout of GST 2.0, which placed motorcycles above 350cc into a higher 40% tax bracket. Initially, KTM and Bajaj had announced that they would absorb the additional cost, but the brand has now adjusted its pricing strategy to align with changing market conditions.
For adventure motorcycle enthusiasts, the KTM 390 Adventure has been one of the top choices for its powerful engine, off-road capability, and long-distance touring comfort. With the latest price revision, potential buyers will need to re-evaluate the value proposition of both variants.
The government’s new GST 2.0 structure significantly impacts premium motorcycles. Although KTM temporarily resisted the price hike, rising production and operational costs have now pushed the company to revise prices for the 390 Adventure lineup. Interestingly, KTM has kept other 390 models—such as the 390 Duke, RC 390, and the newer 390 Enduro—unchanged for now.

This makes the Adventure X more expensive, but still the more affordable entry point into KTM’s adventure motorcycle range.
This is the model that witnesses the highest jump, impacting buyers who were planning to invest in the fully featured version.

Despite the price hike, both motorcycles continue to be powered by the robust 399cc LC4c single-cylinder engine, known for its strong performance and refined power delivery.
This engine provides excellent acceleration, long-distance capability, and strong off-roading performance—traits that have made the 390 Adventure series a favourite among Indian touring enthusiasts.
The price revision places the KTM 390 Adventure closer to premium ADV motorcycles in the segment. While KTM still offers superior performance and features, the higher pricing may push some buyers to consider alternatives like:
However, the KTM 390 Adventure remains a benchmark for its class due to its lightweight chassis, electronics suite, and brand reliability.
KTM’s choice to keep the 390 Duke, RC 390, and 390 Enduro prices unchanged also indicates a more targeted strategy—hiking prices only for the models affected most by the new tax bracket.
If you’re seeking a motorcycle that excels in touring, off-roading, and everyday riding, the KTM 390 Adventure continues to be a top contender. Despite the price increase, it still provides unmatched value in terms of performance, technology, and capability.
For riders looking to upgrade or new buyers eyeing the adventure segment, booking early before any further price hike could be a wise move.
