Hyundai India has officially unveiled the much-anticipated Creta Electric SUV ahead of its January 17, 2025, launch at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo. Following the legacy of the popular ICE version, this new EV is poised to become Hyundai’s most affordable electric car in India. It fills the gap left by the discontinuation of the Kona Electric and aims to establish itself in the flourishing EV market, competing with rivals like the Tata Curvv EV and Mahindra BE 6e.
The Hyundai Creta Electric’s design takes cues from its ICE counterpart while incorporating distinct EV elements. A closed-off grille with an integrated charging port, aerodynamic 17-inch alloy wheels, and active air flaps enhance efficiency and style. The SUV maintains its familiar silhouette but introduces eight monotone and two dual-tone color options, including three matte finishes, to appeal to diverse tastes.
Inside, the cabin draws inspiration from Hyundai’s premium Ioniq 5. It boasts a fully digital instrument cluster, a touchscreen infotainment system with upgraded software, and a premium sound system. Safety and convenience features include a digital key, Level 2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera, and TPMS. Offered in four variants—Executive, Smart, Premium, and Excellence—the Creta Electric promises a feature-packed experience for buyers.
The Creta Electric is available with two battery pack options: a 42 kWh pack with a 390 km range and a 51.4 kWh pack with a 473 km range. Charging options include a DC fast charger (10%-80% in 58 minutes) and an 11kW Smart Connected Wall Box charger (10%-100% in 4 hours).
With its affordable pricing, impressive range, and cutting-edge features, the Hyundai Creta Electric is set to revolutionize the EV market in India.
