Maruti Suzuki e Vitara: Unveiling in India in 2025

Maruti Suzuki is ready to reveal its first fully electric SUV, the e Vitara, next month. Originally introduced as the eVX concept at Auto Expo 2023, the e Vitara is expected to launch globally by mid-2025. With a bold design and exciting features, it’s Maruti’s big step into the electric vehicle (EV) market.

Stylish and Modern Design

The e Vitara is designed to stand out with:

  • Y-shaped LED daytime running lights for a modern look.
  • Front parking sensors and a slim camera for added convenience.
  • Two wheel size options—18 and 19 inches—with a sleek dark finish.
  • A charging port on the left front fender for easy charging.
  • Stylish connected tail-lamps and a floating roofline.

Premium Features Inside

The e Vitara’s interior combines comfort and technology:

  • A dual-tone dashboard in black and tan brown for a premium feel.
  • A modern two-spoke steering wheel and digital instrument panel.
  • Features like automatic climate control, ventilated front seats, and a 360-degree camera.

Maruti has promised that the e Vitara will be its most feature-rich car ever.

Power and Range

The e Vitara is built on Maruti Suzuki’s new HEARTECT-e platform and offers two battery options:

  • A 49kWh battery for regular use.
  • A 61kWh battery, delivering over 500 km on a single charge.

This makes the SUV perfect for both city driving and long trips.

Price and Competition

The e Vitara is expected to cost between ₹20 lakh and ₹30 lakh, competing with other electric SUVs like:

  • Tata Curvv EV, which offers a sporty design, two battery options (45kWh and 55kWh), and a range of up to 585 km.
  • MG ZS EV and BYD Atto 3, which are already popular.
  • Hyundai Creta EV, which will also enter the market soon.

Tata Curvv EV: A Tough Rival

The Tata Curvv EV is one of the main competitors of the e Vitara. It has:

  • A stylish design combining an SUV and a coupe.
  • Two battery options with ranges of 502 km and 585 km.
  • Advanced features like Level 2 ADAS, a 12.2-inch touchscreen, wireless charging, and a 360-degree camera.
  • Pricing between ₹17.49 lakh and ₹21.99 lakh.

What This Means for Buyers
